Stavanger

Arrived in Stavanger on Friday 2nd Febuary to start our year in Norway. Initially it was not so cold, but it has gotten colder as the days progressed. It snowed on Monday and Tuesday, little flurries. It was really nice walking through the cobble stone streets in the shopping district while it snowed. For a caribbean person who only knows only rain and sunshine, this is a wonderful experience. In Boston, I experienced a blizzard which is not so wonderful. Stavanger is a wonderful place to visit and possibly live. It is an Oil city with many expats from all over the world. However, it's much quieter than Houston or Port of Spain. The people seem very nice and are willing to help. I am truly amazed at the connectivity of Norway thus far. It makes adapting a bit easier.

I just collected my tickets form the "Posten " to see Levellers in Oslo in March. I have long admired the Levellers and consider Levelling the Land to be one of the best albums of all time.

I am also considering going to Barbados via Trinidad or Tobago to the cricket world cup final. I hope this becomes a reality.

Until Oslo...på gjensyn
